Kelly & Regan's Wedding Vow Renewal at Terranea Resort

I am proud to say that Regan called me from Northern California looking for photography assistance with his wedding anniversary. The date for their anniversary was on September 27, 2012. This happens to be a great anniversary occasion for me as well. With this in mind, and after talking to Regan, I saw all the right positive energies coming together for this photo experience. Regan was hoping to get maybe 5 or 6 good shots (well I guess that's other people's experiences with photographers but not with me) but I assured him he would get far beyond that many. I also told him not to be surprised if he didn't get 50 to 100 or so INCREDIBLE images that they would love. That being said, we far exceeded the quantity of images in their session and totally surpassed everyone's expectations.

On the day of the event, I met Regan and his wife Kelly at the Terranea Resort on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. I have photographed there many times and I know the surrounding areas very well. Regan left if up to me and I picked out the best place possible for their Wedding Photography Session. It was really a great time and easy to see the love, energy and excitement between Regan and his wife Kelly. Truly it was an honor and a privilege to be the photographer that captured their life long romantic memories.

I would also like to thank my friend Hidemi S. for helping out during this photo shoot with the bride's dress and lighting. It was part of her adventure while visiting from Japan to see this happen. Without her efforts the entire session would have been different. I strongly believe we all contributed to its entire success.

Please enjoy the photographs that I TRIED to narrow down so you can see the full session in this blog.  Thanks!!!

Yesenia & Ruvicel's Bridal Session

Recently I had the pleasure to meet Yesenia at the end of March. Yesenia approached me for an inquiry regarding a basic wedding package and bridal photos for a small event. Well it really was a pleasure getting to know her, help figure out what was best and come up with a solution. After a consultation where we reviewed different options for her event, we came up with a great plan. We broke up and customized her package into two session. One day was for her wedding / bridal photos and the other day would briefly cover her dinner event. The dinner event is this weekend and I am really looking forward to it :)

Let's just say normally a bride might be a little nervous about the whole process (and I think she was) but really it ended up going smoothly. Simply, it couldn't have turned out better. On the day of the event I got to meet her husband Ruvicel. He is truly a fun awesome guy that really helped make the shoot a total success. He not only brought great humor and comfort to Yesenia, but he also helped with the reflector to provide additional lighting for Yesenia's solo photographs. Altogether,
the three of us found this synchronicity that gave us such great energy and good times that the warm up process was really brief. We got rolling quite easily into the photo process and had tons of laughs. I have to admit they are quite a handsome and charming couple and I think it really shows. In the end we became really good friends and the photos just came as a part of the adventure and the fun we experienced together.

One of the smartest things that happened is that Yesenia provided for enough time for her photo session. We had enough time to visit at least 6 different location along the Palos Verdes coastline I have to give credit to her for realizing the importance of these lifetime memories and ensuring that the schedule met the requirements. That is something that every bride should do to work with her photographer to ensure an adequate schedule for success. As a result it was smooth and we all had just enough time to capture some incredible memories and tons of laughs all the way until the sunset on the horizon.

Sunset at Ocean Trails by Trump National Golf Course

On February 23, 2012 I had the pleasure of photographing Eve Irvine for a feature with the South Bay Woman Magazine. Mrs. Irvine is currently the police chief of Manhattan Beach. Our photo shoot commenced in Rancho Palos Verdes on the public park at Trump National Golf Course (where I have photographed many weddings). At the end of our project shoot, we enjoyed watching the final moments of the sunset together and sharing some laughs. She really was a wonderful person to meet and share a great sunset. It amazed us both so much so we both took the extra time to stop and enjoy one of God's beautiful creations together. Its really truly one of my favorite times of the day. The photos below are a sample of the gorgeous event we witnessed. These photographs are really untouched and catch the images without Photoshopping to show their pure beauty. Please enjoy them and thank you very much for sharing a few moments with us. Also please keep an eye out because I will post some of the great portraits / headshots that Chief Irvine and I captured together that day in another blog.

Landscape, Seascapes & Nature and More Photo Video

This evening I ran across some historical photographs of mine and I decided to remix a photographic music video of my images. It was really wonderful to revisit my past, the places I visited, and the experiences I shared creating all these landscape, seascape and nature images. Many of them were shared in creation with some of the dearest and closest people to me ever and then many of them were created when I was alone. All of them were were through created through my efforts to strike out, reinvent myself and heal from the devastating injuries that I suffered in a car accident in 2004 that brought me into photography. The locations featured in this video are throughout Southern California. The photographs are taken in Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Big Bear, San Diego, Chula Vista, Pt Loma, San Pedro, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Otay Lakes, Huntington Beach, Lake Forest and throughout many wonderful locations in Southern California. Please enjoy the video and remember we shoot weddings, portraits, headshots, and all kinds of images through out all the areas featured!
